Just as the tractor is an agricultural vehicle in Konya, the agricultural vehicle in this region is the cable car. We use it so much. for agriculture as well as to carry loads to our homes. At every point where there is no road, the cable car comes into play. “This is not the first accident to occur in the cable car, there have been dozens of times before. We are afraid, but we have to take advantage of it, “he said.
Tayyip Peçe, one of the villagers, said that the cable car was recently installed and said: “This system has just been installed here. That is why he had no experience, which unfortunately cost him his life.”
Turgut Derici also said: “This terrible incident is happening while the tea is being loaded. He loses control of the cable and falls to the ground from 25 meters and unfortunately loses his life. This system in the cable car is very new, not knowing how to use it well, so this sad event has happened to him: “We want the cable cars to be inspected and users to be trained.”
PRIMARY CABLE HAZARD
The fresh tea harvest continues in Rize, Trabzon, Artvin and Giresun provinces in the eastern Black Sea region. Due to the rugged and rugged structure of the region, citizens load the teas they harvest with primitive cable cars. When preparing a report on primitive ropeways, the Rize Chamber of Mechanical Engineers drew attention to the fact that primitive ropeways, the number of which reached 10,000 in Rize and 15,000 in the region, pose a great danger to life. and property security. In the report, which drew attention to the disorderly use of primitive cable cars that caused many fatal accidents and injuries and that none of their mechanisms were in order, it was noted that cable cars should meet a standard.
‘HAVE THE STANDARD’
The president of the Rize Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, Metin Bıçakçı, stated that there are more than 15 thousand cable cars in the region and that they were established without a standard. Bıçakçı said that cable cars must have certain rules: “Cable cars must definitely have a responsible person. It should not be random, in a way that is open to children. Unfortunately, because there is no inspection or sanction on this issue, the citizens can easily buy the cable car equipment and do it where they consider it necessary. “Our expectation is to be responsible for these cable cars, the cable cars must be brought to a cabin, the electrical installations must be isolated to avoid electric shock. The necessary measures must be taken to avoid accidents in the loading and unloading areas. Sirma cables must be manufactured according to technique, “he said.
