Pınar Gültekin, a student at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, disappeared on July 16. At the request of his family, the gendarmerie and police teams began a search.

Cemal Metin Avcı, the ex-girlfriend of the young woman who was arrested during the studies, confessed that she strangled and killed Pınar with her hands in the fight that broke out, put her body in the barrel of the vineyard house and put cement on it.

Pınar’s partially burned body was hit in the barrel located where Avcı had shown it. While Pınar was buried in the Hizan district of his hometown, Bitlis, Cemal Metin Avcı was arrested for “killing a man with monstrous sentiment and torment.”

The Akyaka Gendarmerie and Provincial Gendarmerie Station Command teams reached a new find after approximately 3 months of meticulous work.

From HTS records, it was determined that the phone signals of the detained suspect Avcı’s brother, Mertcan Avcı, were also at the vineyard house at the same time as his brother.

Mertcan Avcı, who was in custody, was also detained at the court where he was transferred.

THE EXPRESSION OF THE BORDER IS LIKE

‘Obfuscate the evidence’ The testimony of Mertcan Avcı, who was arrested on charges, has been revealed.

Avcı was reported to have said the following in his statement:

* My brother called me on WhatsApp the night of the event. He asked me to go to the vineyard house in Karabakh. There was no emotion or discomfort in my brother’s speech, or rather, I don’t remember it.

* When my brother called me, I got on my electric bike and set off towards the vineyard house. When I went to the vineyard house, my brother was burning something in the garden. The flames were normal size. I didn’t see a gas can around the barrel, but there were pieces of wood.

* In fact, the flames rose and burned the barrel leaves. I asked my brother what burned. My brother told me that the kokorec in the bar was spoiled and that he burned the rotten ones. I felt a strange smell but it didn’t bother me. I looked towards the burning flames, I couldn’t see anything due to the flames.

* 15-20 minutes after my brother came from the vineyard house, he said ‘I had a fight with your aunt’ and left the vineyard house getting into his car. After my brother left, I went into the vineyard house.

* There was no discomfort. They left me alone for 1.5 hours. I arranged the beers in the warehouse. I never touched the barrel. The barrel was still burning, my brother returned to the vineyard house around 8:30 p.m., and I left the vineyard house and went to the bar.

ATTORNEY EPÖZDEMİR: “WE ARE FOLLOWING THE CASE”

Claiming that Mertcan Avcı was arrested for hiding, destroying and changing criminal evidence, Rezan Epözdemir, the lawyer for the Gültekin family, argued that the suspect’s statement was full of contradictions, saying:

* He claims that when he went to the place, there was a bad smell from the barrel, he asked his brother about this smell, and his brother received the answer ‘I burn the roasted kokorec in the store’. Propose a fully memorized and fictitious statement.

* Why did you wait 1.5 hours when your brother called you to the scene as seen in HTS records? Were the spoiled kokorecs taken from the bar to the vineyard house where the crime scene was and burned there? How do you respect this statement?

Attorney Epözdemir said: “There is no doubt that there is a possibility of participating in the murder. Because at the time of the incident and at the scene. Since the body of the victim was burned, we do not know the exact time of the murder and the cause of death. These will come to light during the trial. We believe there were other perpetrators in addition to his brothers. We have been investigating this case from day one, and we will disclose our case and the complaints with Pınar’s family. (DHA)
