A verdict was rendered at the hearing of the case of 7 defendants, one of whom was arrested, on the death of 4-year-old Leyla Aydemir, who disappeared in her grandfather’s village on June 15, 2018 in Ağrı and whose body it was found after 18 days.
Although the detained defendant’s uncle Yusuf Aydemir was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, an acquittal was issued for 6 defendants who were not arrested. Leyla’s mother, Şükran, and father, Nihat Aydemir, were not involved in the case.
The detained accused uncle, Yusuf Aydemir, attended the SEGBİS hearing and the prison no. 2 of Elazığ. Other defendants Mehmet Ali Aydemir, Musa Aydemir, Besim Dursun, Hatun Dursun, Yıldırım Artam and Ayşe Artam made their last defense.
