Erdoğan Küpeli entered a market in Adana Kozan as a customer. He killed cashier Tuğba Keleş, who had a two-year-old baby, separated from her husband. Then he turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger. Kupeli, 46, died at the hospital she was taken to.
Erdoğan Kupeli was arrested for harassing and threatening Gülay Mubarak, 29, who lives in Hatay in 2016, on social media. Küpeli, who was expelled from his teaching contract, was released on condition of judicial control in the court to which he was transferred. After this incident, Küpeli was arrested for sharing insulting messages against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his social media account and was imprisoned in Kozan prison.

Küpeli stood out again after Tuğba Keleş complained that he was threatened, followed and harassed 20 days ago. Tuğba Keleş emphasized that Erdoğan Küpeli tried to kidnap her by intercepting her path and that she was rescued by her brother Muhammed Keleş.
