As part of the investigation carried out by the Ankara Prosecutor General’s Office in relation to the Kobani protests in 2014, a decision was made to arrest 82 suspects in 7 provinces.
At the same time, 20 suspects were arrested, including former HDP MP and Mayor Kars Ayhan Bilgen, former HDP MPs Ayla Akat Ata, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Altan Tan and Emine Ayna.
DETENTION REQUESTED
The 20 suspects who were detained, including former HDP lawyers, were sent to court for arrest after questioning by the prosecutor.
Some of the other suspects, who were arrested in the course of the investigation, were said to be members of the mountain staff of the terrorist organization PKK / KCK, and some were abroad. It has been announced that efforts to capture a suspect, believed to be in the country, are continuing.
On the other hand, it was indicated that during the Kobani events, a report will be prepared so that 7 people who are members of HDP FMC and still HDP deputies lift their immunity.
