Sheikh Nevvaf was elected Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the first Kuwaiti government established in April 1991 after the war of liberation of Kuwait from the Iraqi invasion.
Sheikh Nevvaf, who served as Minister of Defense in January 1988, made efforts to develop and provide all modern weapons and military equipment so that Kuwait could fulfill its national mission of defense and protection against external threats.
After serving as Governor of Havli in 1962, Nevvaf, who made great strides in the city under his administration, began working as Minister of the Interior in 1978.
The new Emir of Kuwait, Nawwaf al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah, who was born in Kuwait in 1937, was the sixth to Emir al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Mubarek al-Sabah, who ruled for 29 years from 1921 to 1950. The third child.
