Netanyahu’s claim made its mark on the UN: there could be a new explosion!

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) through a video message. In his speech, Netanyahu recalled the normalization agreement signed by Israel with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and stated that different Arab and Muslim countries could also sign a peace agreement with Israel.

“I have no doubt that very soon more Arab countries will join the peace accords,” Netanyahu said.

Prime Minister Netanyahu, referring to the so-called Middle East Peace Plan announced by US President Donald Trump, affirmed that they are willing to negotiate with Palestine in this area.

“IF AN EXPLOSION OCCURS, ANOTHER TRAGEDY MAY BE EXPERIENCED”

Claiming that there is a secret Hezbollah arsenal in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, and showing a map of the depots, Netanyahu used the following statements:

* There was a terrible explosion in the port of Beirut last month. The next explosion could occur in the Janah district of Beirut. Here, Hezbollah has a secret weapons depot, surrounded by civilian homes.

* I’m calling the residents of Janah. You have to act now and protest. Because if there is an explosion here, another tragedy may occur.

“TO PREVENT WAR TOMORROW, WE MUST STOP IRAN”

Netanyahu, who also targeted Iran in his speech, said: “The way to stop Iran is to apply maximum pressure on them. “We must stop Iran today to avoid war tomorrow,” he said.

NASRALLAH’S RESPONSE TO NETANYAHU

Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah responded to Netanyahu’s claim. In his statement, Nasrallah denied Netanyahu’s claim, saying: “Netanyahu is trying to provoke the Lebanese people against Hezbollah and is talking about a place between Beirut and the suburbs, claiming that we are storing and producing missiles.”

“We will let the media enter the premises and testify,” Nasrallah said, pointing to Netanyahu, saying, “The whole world will reveal his lie.”

To refute Netanyahu’s claim, Nasrallah invited the Lebanese and international media to visit the facilities at 10:00 p.m. local time.

Following Nasrallah’s invitation, many members of the local and foreign media flocked to the area that Netanyahu claimed to be Hezbollah’s arsenal.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Hundreds of people died and more than 5,000 Lebanese citizens were injured in the explosion that took place in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on August 4.

2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate stored in a warehouse in the port that caused the explosion were alleged to have been unloaded from a damaged ship in 2014 and forgotten in the warehouse where it was placed.

It turned out that over the years the port authorities had sent an official letter to the higher agencies about the transport of ammonium nitrate at the port, but received no response.(İHA)
