Mustafa Canlı, general manager of İSTAÇ, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, died due to the corona virus.

WHO IS MUSTAFA CANLI?
He was born on May 25, 1962 in the village of Gümüşhane Yukarı Alıçlı. He completed his primary education in his village, secondary and secondary education in Gümüşhane. In 1978, he won the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Technical University of Karadeniz. He graduated in 1983 with a degree in electrical engineer.
In 1983, he began his public service as an electrical engineer in the Trabzon TEK Northeast Anatolia Operations Group Management.
In 1989, he was appointed Deputy Technical Director of Gümüşhane TEK. He successfully held this position until 1995.
In 1995, he was appointed Çorum TEDAŞ Facilities Manager. In 1999, he resigned to become a candidate for mayor. He has been rewarded many times by the Çorum governorate and other organizations for his services during this tenure.
He was president of the Financial Commission and a member of the board of Çorum Sports. He founded TEDAŞ Çorum Force Sports Club and chaired the board of directors. He contributed to the development of amateur sport.
He was elected mayor of Gümüşhane by the Nationalist Movement Party in the elections of April 18, 1999. He served as mayor of Gümüşhane for three terms between 1999 and 2014.
Between 1999-2004, he worked as president of the Gümüşhane Sports Club.
In 2006, he completed his associate degree from Anadolu University College of Business Administration.
During his tenure as mayor, he served as a member of the Union of Black Sea Municipalities for a long time, and also provided the design, completion and commissioning of the sewage treatment plant and solid waste facilities that the city needed.
In the general elections held in 2015, he was elected deputy for the 25th term of the Partido Movimiento Nacionalista.
Mustafa Canlı was nominated for Mayor of the IYI Gümüşhane Party in the local elections on March 31, 2019. He began working as General Manager of İSTAÇ AŞ, a branch of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, on August 7, 2019.
