Yahya Kemal Yiğit, the father of the July 15 martyr Cennet Yiğit, who reacted to CHP supporters at the ceremony held for the martyrs in Kayseri, is on trial for insults, threats and assaults.
CHP district president Okan Marzıoğlu and CHP mayoral candidate Mustafa Navruz, who attended the martyrdom ceremony prior to the March 30 local elections in Kayseri Bünyan, were martyred in the bomb attack at the Gölbaşı Special Operations Department during the FETO coup attempt. Following the complaints by Marzıoğlu and Navruz, a lawsuit was filed against Yahya Kemal Yiğit, the father of the martyr on July 15, at the Bünyan Criminal Court of First Instance for ‘insult’, ‘threat’ and ‘assault’.

It was learned that CHP Kayseri provincial chairman Ümit Özer attended the hearing with 10 lawyers and the election bus with party members.
At the hearing, Yahya Kemal Yiğit, father of Deputy Commissioner Cennet Yiğit, did not accept the charges.
