Health Minister Fahrettin Koca came to Samsun for various visits and meetings and visited the Governor of Samsun, Zülkif Dağlı, in his office. Minister Koca, who signed the governor’s honor book, made statements after the visit.
Minister Koca stated that after Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia and Aegean Region, he came to Samsun to assess the conditions of the cities in the Middle Black Sea today and to take examinations. We discussed the course of the coronavirus epidemic in Samsun. We had the opportunity to obtain information and consult on the status of the health services provided, needs and problems for which solutions were requested. Samsun is the center of attraction for the region, a growing and developing city. At the same time, your needs in the field of health increase day by day. With the coronavirus epidemic, we have seen this need grow even more and we will take our steps accordingly. We have implemented many investments in health in the center and districts of our city so far. In our meeting with our esteemed governor, we made detailed assessments on the health facilities that Samsun needs, especially the city hospital, in addition to these investments. After completing our reviews, we will have more detailed explanations on this topic at night. After I leave here, I will visit Samsun Research and Training Hospital. ‘THE SIGNIFICANT FALL WAS POSSIBLE, SO IT WAS NOT SUSTAINABLE’
Saying that they have been battling the coronavirus epidemic for 6 months, Minister Koca said: “ Unfortunately, the significant decrease we experienced from strictly following the rules for a period was not sustainable. Underestimating illness, not obeying cleanliness, mask, and distance rules left us with images we didn’t want again. Our number of patients and losses began to increase again. In this case, not just for the whole world to Turkey. As you know, the increase in the number of our patients is not the same in all regions. While we see unwanted increases in some of our provinces, we are able to keep the epidemic under control in some of our provinces and regions thanks to strong measures and the sensitivity of our citizens. ”

Minister Koca, noting that the rate of increase in cases was controlled, said:
“ I would like to say here that our rate of increase in cases has been controlled thanks to the measures taken throughout the country and the strict control during the last week. DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CASES IN SAMSUN

Minister Koca claimed that with the quick and effective interventions carried out for the rise of Samsun, there was a decrease in the number of cases at a rate of 3 in the last week compared to a month ago. We hope it goes well. Our goal is to reduce the number of patients and our hospital burden day by day with the measures we will take. At Samsun, we have increased the number of radiation kits for Samsun to 175 in this period, within the scope of our field studies, which significantly affects our success rate, especially in the epidemic. The average contact scan in Turkey could be downloaded up to 13 hours. At Samsun, our follow-up time has decreased to 9 hours in the last week. Minister Koca said he wanted to make an important warning to the people of Samsun, “Our rate of patients over 60 is quite high in our city. For this reason, it is the duty of all Samsun residents, especially the young, and of ourselves to better protect our elders. “We see the photos that we don’t want in all the countries and provinces that compromise these measures. In this regard, I once again invite all my fellow citizens to stick with the measures. Today, we are here to see the situation in the region on the spot and to find solutions to problems that require urgent intervention. After a while, we will hold our provincial health assessment meetings with the participation of our Samsun Provincial Health Director, the field coordinator and the chief doctors. We will also consult the measures that can be taken. Then, we will do our regional assessments with the participation of our provincial health directors, chief doctors and field coordinators from Amasya, Çorum, Ordu, Sinop and Tokat. Therefore, we will evaluate in detail the current situation, needs and health infrastructure in these 6 provinces. After the meeting is over, I will be in front of you again in the evening, explaining more detailed information and the decisions we have made, and answering the questions. ”
VISIT TO THE HEALTH AND HOSPITAL DIRECTORATE
After leaving the Samsun governorate after its announcement, Minister Koca and his entourage visited the Samsun Research and Training Hospital and spoke with health studios. After the visit to the hospital, Minister Koca went to the Provincial Directorate of Health and received information from the Provincial Director of Health, Muhammet Ali Oruç. Minister Koca then went to the Gürbüz mosque to perform Friday prayer.
