Ahmet Öztaş (31) and his brother Fırat Öztaş (25), who were attacked in the hair salon on Baştuğ Street in the Osmangazi district of Keçiören district, were transferred by their relatives to the Keçiören Research and Training Hospital. Ahmet Öztaş lost his life in the animation room despite the intervention that lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. While Fırat Öztaş was transferred to the Hacettepe University Medical Faculty Hospital after the operation, his relatives who received the news of Ahmet Öztaş’s death suffered a nervous breakdown.
Relatives who wanted to see Ahmet Öztaş reacted by not allowing this and a fight broke out. The enraged crowd tried to attack the door to the animation room. Health workers, on the other hand, barricaded stretchers behind the door and tried not to open the door. Police teams who arrived at the hospital following the notification took the angry group from the hospital.
As part of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Prosecutor General’s Office into the incident, the statements of health workers were taken. It was learned that 5 doctors and 5 nurses, who were behind the door the night of the incident, did not complain, and the hospital’s chief physician complained of people forcing the door to enter.

The prosecution, upon seeing the images of the hospital security cameras, determined that about 8 people were in front of the door. Two of these people who physically pushed the door were arrested this morning. It was learned that 2 suspects will be referred to court for the crimes of ‘effectively resisting the agent’, ‘damaging public property’, ‘threatening’, ‘insulting’ and ‘trying to hurt’

The prosecutor Lütfü Karakuş, who was conducting the investigation, issued an arrest warrant for 3 more persons, of whom 1 was found to be involved in the events in the chamber records. It was known that these people were also detained by order of the prosecutor and the number of arrests increased to 5.
