Aleyna cakirhe was found dead in the Keçiören district house on June 3. Images of Ümitcan Uygun, who is said to be his lover, used violence against Çakır before, were shared on social media shortly after his death. Ümitcan Uygun was then detained by police teams and released after his testimony.
While Aleyna Çakır’s family blamed Ümitcan Uygun for their daughter’s death, Uygun’s mother, Gülay Uygun, was found dead on the night of September 17, in a mountainous area near her relative’s home in Keçiören, Ankara, shot in the head. A handwritten suicide note was found during the investigation at the scene. In the first examination carried out by the prosecutor, it was determined that the woman’s head was shot from the right side.
TAXI DRIVER ARRIVED
Investigating the incident with the prosecutor’s office, the police examined the security camera footage of the house and its surroundings to determine how Gülay Uygun got to the scene. After the examination, it was determined that Uygun got into a taxi after leaving his home in the morning. It was learned that the police approached the taxi driver and took a statement. On the other hand, it was claimed that the weapon found at the scene was unlicensed and it could not be determined who it belonged to.
HTS RECORDS ON THE DEATH OF ÇAKIR INSCRIBED IN THE ARCHIVE
In the investigation into the death of Aleyna Çakır, the HTS file requested by the prosecutor to determine whether Ümitcan Uygun was at home on the day of the incident was archived. It was learned that the prosecution sent the records to the police and requested a detailed report on the records. The detailed report requested from the Istanbul Institute of Forensic Medicine on Çakır’s death is expected to arrive.
