Libyan Defense Minister Salaheddin in Nemruş, the army reconstruction and development programs together with Turkey, has announced that it has started implementation.

In a statement he made on his Facebook account, Nemruş stated that the Defense Ministry had met with the Turkish side, that it supports the legitimate government of Libya, and that talks are continuing.

“Together with the Turkish side, we have started to implement programs to build and restructure the armed forces, air defense, navy, counterterrorism and development of special forces.”

In this context, Nemruş stated that the first training center was prepared in the west of the capital, Tripoli, and stated that the priority would be to establish an army in accordance with international standards.

Libyan Defense Minister Nemruş announced on August 17 that they had agreed with the Turkish and Qatari defense ministers to support Libya to build military institutions in training and consultation fields.

Referring to the Libyan contacts of the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and the Minister of Defense of Qatar Halid bin Mohammed al-Atiyye, Nemruş said: “We agreed with Akar and Atiyye to support Libya to build military institutions in the training and consultation fields.” . he said.
