Meral Akşener, chairman of the IYI Party, received 1,289 votes and was once again the leader of his party. Akşener won the vote of the entire voting delegate.
At the congress held in Altınpark, the voting process for the presidency ended at 1.30 pm. After the classification and counting of the votes, the District Election Board official announced the results.
Consequently, Akşener, who participated in the elections as the sole candidate, was re-elected president with the votes of 1289 delegates out of 1289.
The Good Party has a total of 1,379 registered delegates.
AKŞENER’S ‘KEY LIST’ OF 100 PEOPLE DETERMINED
President Meral Akşener’s “key list” of 100 people was published at the 2nd Ordinary Congress, where the members of the General Management Board (GİK) and the Central Disciplinary Board (MDK) will be determined.

At the congress where 50 members of GİK and 11 of MDK will be elected, the “key list” of 100 people from Akşener was published.
In the key list, which does not include 11 members of the current GİK, 19 of the candidates are deputies.
Samsun’s deputy Erhan Usta, who was fired from the MHP and later joined the IYI Party, was not included on the key list, which included economics professor Ümit Özlale, retired Colonel Erdal Sarızeybek, and lawyer Bahadır Erdem.
THE APPLICATIONS CONTINUE
Council President İsmail Tatlıoğlu declared that 50 full members, 25 alternates for the GİK, 11 full members and 7 alternates for the MDK will be elected.
Stating that candidacy applications for GİK and MDK continue, Tatlıoğlu said about the list:
“There is a president’s key list. The president preferred an electoral process where anyone can be a candidate rather than a blocking list. Those on the president’s key list do not have to apply for the GIK and MDK because of the change. in the statute.
Below the chairman’s key list, we will add the delegates to the supreme board in the order of application. Below that, we will create a list including 70 signatory delegates who applied at Headquarters, and then those who applied at Congress. ”
Tatlıoğlu said that due to the pandemic, delegates over 65 will have priority in voting, and then the voting process will be done according to the groups on the delegate cards.

Meanwhile, Akşener did not vote in the presidential elections.
In his speech at the congress, after the 1,289 delegates who attended the congress were voted in and re-elected as president, Akşener told the delegates:
“Your Resistance, your patriotism, your commitment to the Republic of Turkey, I thank you for the link between Alparslan Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. My God, for you in his presence, then servants and do not be ashamed in the presence of our nation.
People call us. They have shown everyone that we are ready to get back together with our nation and get back on the road tomorrow. ”
The IYI Party has 1,379 delegates in Congress.
