Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül answered questions on the CNN Türk broadcast.
Gul, the number of the law school fully and the elimination of legal problems in Turkey on the issue of the quality of education, said it was directly related to the issue of qualified lawyers. Expressing that they have brought an exam to enter the professions with the judicial reform, it will take effect after three years, so just graduating from Law School will not be enough, Gul said that this is a very important reform and its fruits will be seen in a few years. Gül stated that the students who entered the first 125 thousand in the exam were accepted to the Law Schools and that they asked YÖK to reduce this number to the first 100 thousand. “Qualified education must be provided at the Law School.” Gul said: “YÖK is also sensitive to this issue and believes that the quality will increase in this regard.
Justice Minister Gül stated that an examination will be conducted for 1,200 judges, prosecutors will be announced from November 21 to 22, ÖSYM will conduct an examination in the last week of November for 1,100 deputy chief executives and the corresponding section for the new personnel to be recruited in the prison and the court. He stated that they transmit their demands to the institutions, expect the number and date of this in the near future, and will make an announcement when it arrives.
Specifying that the results of the interview with the judge will be released this week, Gül affirmed that they have determined the personnel needs in courts and prisons, which will recruit around 10,000 people in the near future and will be shared with the public when clears up.
