CONSTRUCTION STARTED ON THE LAKE
CHP Burdur MP Mehmet Göker reacted to the incident by sharing a video showing the working image of construction crews at Lake Salda on April 13, 2020 on his Twitter account.
Göker, in his statement to SÖZCÜ, said: “They began to kill Lake Salda, which was closed to visit and said that we will not touch its naturalness, with work machines, citing the corona epidemic. Clearly, the profits are paid by the capital, the beautiful Lake Salda, ”he said.
THE FLOW OF VISITORS IS ALIVE
Lake Salda is among the most important attractions in recent years with its white sand and turquoise blue water. The American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that it has similar characteristics to the Jezero crater on Mars, further increasing interest in the lake.
Visitors continue to come from miles away to see this unique lake and beauty. Gendarmerie teams working 24/7 in Salda Lake frequently warn visitors about rules taken within the scope of coronavirus measures, and inform citizens that it is prohibited to enter the mud pits, especially in the surrounding areas. Those who enter the mud pits are fined 392 lire.
