Diyarbakır’s First Administrative Court rejected the request for annulment by the former HDP Diyarbakır Metropolitan Mayor Adnan Selçuk Mızraklı in connection with the assignment made by the Interior Ministry to the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality.
Adnan Selçuk Mızraklı was fired on August 19 when he was mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality. Mızraklı was arrested for “belonging to a terrorist organization” and sent to Diyarbakır Type D prison.
One of the reasons why Mızraklı was detained by decision of the 3rd Higher Criminal Court of Diyarbakır was the statement of a PKK confessor in the prosecution office, as it was determined that he had “affiliation with terrorist organizations” and “support for terrorist organizations” .
In his March 2019 statement, a member of the organization named Bermal, who surrendered to the security forces in Nusaybin in 2016, revealed that Mızraklı operated on an injured member of the organization and released him the next day without notify the security guards while working as a general surgeon in a private hospital.
Mızraklı, for his part, denied the accusations that he had operated on a member of the organization in his statement and defended himself saying that the confessor gave his statements through the mouth of third parties.
