In the UEFA Europa League, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Alanyaspor set their sights on the third qualifying round.
After defeating Neftçi Baku 3-1 on the road in the second qualifying round, Galatasaray faced Croatian team Hajduk Split in the third qualifying round. Beşiktaş was paired with the Portugal team Rio Ave, while Alanyaspor’s rival was the Norwegian team Rosenborg.
