LIBYA DIALOGUE MEETING
The “Dialogue on Libya” was held between the delegations of the Supreme Council of the Libyan State in Buznika, Morocco, and the House of Representatives in Tobruk, the political ally of Caliph Haftar, from 6 to 10 September.
During the meetings, a consensus was reached on the criteria for designating the names to be taken to the country’s top-level institutions, and it was decided to meet again in the last week of September to complete the procedures to implement the agreement.
According to Article 15 of the Sohirat Agreement signed in Morocco in 2015, these high-level institutions are “Director of the Central Bank of Libya, President of the Court of Accounts, Head of the Administrative Control Unit, Head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, President and members of the Supreme Electoral Board, President of the Supreme Court and It is formed by the Attorney General.
Since there are two separate administrations in eastern and western Libya, these high-level institutions also display a two-headed structure.
