The highlights of the statements by Kılıçdaroğlu, who criticized the educational system before explaining his proposal, are as follows;

“OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN DROPPED”

“That is to say, their opinions that have written scientific articles on education are evaluated throughout their lives. All the actors come together and find a solution. Educational councils are discussed and policies are determined. Educational policies are not created from minister to minister. minister or with one day policies I am sorry that the 18 year old AK Party Our education system was completely paralyzed during the period.

Education policies were created from minister to minister, education policies were created according to the point of view of the person, the stakeholders were not taken into account. Regardless of the party, no father and mother are satisfied with the educational system. A very simple example; an example that fundamentally shakes the educational system; It is a 4 + 4 + 4 application. I am asking now; Was this system discussed in the National Boards of Education when it was introduced? Has it been discussed? Has the decision been initiated? Not!

“THERE IS INEQUALITY IN EDUCATION”

You can imagine? 5 people who did not have a single article, which is news about the education of our millions of children, determined these policies. There is no such disaster in world history. Turkey is painful but it is true. Families with good conditions send their children to private schools so that their children receive a better education. Families whose condition is not good …

We find ourselves with an extraordinary picture of inequality, not equal opportunities in education. There is a process that we have come with National Education, there are problems that we are experiencing. How can we overcome these problems in the most comfortable way? What can we do in a short time? We are holding this press conference to express our views on this issue.

“FIRST, LET’S EXPLAIN THE FIGURES”

Than?

Let’s first give the numbers. Today, the state has 54,715 schools in compulsory formal education in public schools. In addition, there are private schools in 13,870. In compulsory formal education, children receive education in 588 thousand 10 classrooms in total. There are 25.8 students per classroom. So 26 students. In private schools there are 139,337 classrooms, where the number of students per classroom is 10.6, that is, 11 students.

“3 MILLION STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE INTERNET”

In private schools, the number of classrooms is high and the number of students per class is low. The quality of education is also better. In the field of formal education in public schools, 15 million 189 thousand 878 students are in public schools. The number of students studying in private schools is 1 million 468 thousand 198. The number of teachers in schools is 942 thousand 936 in public schools. 101,730 of these teachers are hired. There are 174 thousand 750 teachers in private schools, 3 million 17 thousand 718 students who are enrolled in public schools in the field of compulsory formal education do not have internet in their homes. I mean the 21st century. I speak of Turkey. I know that Turkey is a very different way in power our people had touted. The end of Turkey they say they spell, they say Turkey is the global challenge. Turkey’s education system says it is too bright. But the numbers don’t lie, more than 3 million students do not have Internet at home. Is it just that? 754,429 students who go to public schools do not have television at home, but we do what we call EBA distance education. How will a student who does not have a television receive an education? Number 754 thousand 429 …

“THEY ARE SAYING OR THE CHP WILL NOT MAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS”

For an adequate education to pandemic conditions, at least 57,340 new classrooms are needed, 92,165 new teachers are needed. Both a classroom and a teacher are needed. What should be done?

They say that CHP always criticizes and never makes suggestions. During the pandemic, we always made suggestions for artisans, farmers, industrialists, officials and workers. Now, our suggestions as part of our responsibility in education.

14 POINT RECOMMENDATION

1- The need for 57,340 classrooms must be addressed immediately, providing the necessary financial resources to the Ministry of National Education. Some village schools should be reopened. If the Ministry of Finance and Finance has a resource problem and says it can’t do it, the CHP metropolitan mayors will want to make this investment for our children in their own provinces, provided the space is allocated. On the other hand, İBB İSMEK and ABB BELMEK are ready to allocate their buildings for the use of the Ministry of National Education so that our children receive a proper education for the pandemic conditions.

2- In the framework of the cooperation with YÖK, the faculties that will not open in the academic year 2020-2021 should be assigned directly to the formal education system of the faculties, especially the classrooms, lecture halls and lecture halls. Considering the reopening of the village schools, it will be possible to reach the number of students per square meter much faster.

3- With the opening of new classrooms, the appointment of 92,165 teachers necessary for the education of our children must be done quickly and without delay. The importance of the welfare state must be recognized once again. The political authority must end the strangeness of the permanent professors, the hired professors, the paid professors with the topic of the pandemic. The staff must be given as teachers are teachers.

4- Regarding the opening of schools in accordance with hygiene standards and hygiene continuity, at least 60,000 permanent assistants must be hired for the Ministry of National Education. Our proposal is that a staff of 60 thousand people be opened in favor of the AK Party. Today it is clear that the staff provided by other ministries and through İŞKUR is not sufficient in terms of hygiene continuity.

5- Parents should not be charged an additional fee for necessities such as disinfectants, masks and temperature measuring devices. These needs must be met quickly before schools open.

6- The Ministry of National Education must provide internet access to 3 million 17 thousand 718 students enrolled in public schools in the field of compulsory formal education by contacting internet service providers. The cost of this service must come from the universal service fund. There is such a fund, there is such money, if this money is wasted, it must be used for it.

7- In this context, all infrastructure providers, especially mobile phone operators, must commit to providing unlimited and long-term Internet access to all students and instructors during distance education, either for free or very cheaply. . It should never be forgotten that operators also have responsibilities.

8- In order for 754,429 students who do not have television at home to access television, the Ministry of National Education must launch a campaign “Have a television” with the NGOs. If the Ministry of National Education does not open this campaign, the municipalities with CHP will want to solve this problem with the contribution of NGOs.

9- Each household must have a laptop, desktop or tablet for student use, and the needs of students who do not have a computer must be satisfied with the Universal Service Fund by the Ministry of National Education. If the Ministry of National Education cannot do this, if they say ‘I have no money, the treasury has no money’, then the municipalities of the CHP are willing to solve this problem, provided they are guaranteed the exchange rate at the beginning of year and that the aid campaign that they will open is not blocked.

10- At present, MEB education through EBA should not be limited to TRT, certain courses must be taught simultaneously on all television channels. Some of those obstacles will be removed. This point, especially MEB, should not be forgotten. Today, more than 6 people live in more than 2.5 million homes.

11- If the conditions of the pandemic are not suitable for all classes to be taught in schools, it should be taken into account that important lessons are only taught in schools.

12- During the pandemic, you must ensure that a health worker and a counselor are present at the school.

13- Given that the merchants that provide the school service will not be able to earn money in this process, it must be ensured that the loan they receive with taxes and insurance premiums is postponed without interest.

14- Parents with children under 12 years of age must have the right to alternate study leave, without discriminating between public and private.
