On May 19, Mayor Osman Topaloğlu stated that 200 hectares of land had so far been affected by the fire. Topaloğlu said: “The exact time the fire started will be determined with further information. We and the district governor were informed at 12:00. We have been around ever since. With the arrival of our latest work machine, we are currently trying to take control. The burning place is an area of thickets and bushes, but no matter what, this is a region where the habitat is very high, there are many living species, and ecological life is too experienced. We are saddened by the point that living creatures die from it. Also, natural vegetation becomes like this in 20-30 years. Sorry, but there has been no loss of life, it has spread to no houses, damage to any property so far. We are trying to control it. I hope we take control of this by completing the cooling work before tonight.
