According to the statement made by the Ministry of National Education, students receiving preschool education and 1st grade students will start school on September 21. The decision of whether or not students attend the classroom training will be left to the parents’ initiative. Elementary school first graders will go to school once a week between September 21 and 25, and then twice a week on the following days.
The Ministry of National Education, which is considering applying the gradual and diluted education model in the opening of schools, will decide as a result of the evaluations carried out for other classes that continue to provide distance education. In his statement after the cabinet meeting, President Erdogan emphasized that the educational system to be implemented according to the course of the epidemic may differ according to the cities. While the decision for other tiers is not yet clear, it will be clear whether or not schools will open, based on the 3-week evaluation and the number of cases as of September 21.
DETAILS OF IN-HOUSE TRAINING DETERMINED!
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) sent a letter to the provincial directorates of national education, which includes the technical details of the face-to-face training application that will begin on September 21. In the letter sent with the signature of Ziya Selçuk, it was shared how the face-to-face training will be delivered and when. These are the highlights of the classroom training;
– The orientation program that will take place from September 21 to 25 in the first week of opening of schools will be “1 day of face-to-face education” in preschool and 1st grade primary education institutions.
-Students will not be required to attend face-to-face education, parents may provide their students to continue their distance education at their own request. Truancy will not be counted for students who do not attend school.
– Taking into account the physical conditions of the school, face-to-face training will be given dividing the students of the branch into groups according to the social distance rule, if necessary. The days of the groups that arise with the division of the class size will be different from each other.
– In preschool education, adaptation training will be given during five hours of activity of 30 minutes a day.
– In the first grade of primary school, there will be five hours of orientation training, every 30 minutes.
– The Ministry of National Education dedicated the first week of face-to-face education to the harmony of pre-school and first grade students who will barely know school life. Within the scope of the Covid-19 measures, the rules of personal hygiene, mask and social distance with non-contact games and fun activities will be explained to students.
