A simultaneous operation was launched in 21 Istanbul-based provinces to capture 53 suspects, including active duty officers, against whom an arrest warrant was issued in the investigation of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) structure of the Terrorist Organization. Fetullah (FETÖ).
In the framework of the investigation into the FETÖ TAF structure carried out by the Terrorist Crimes Investigation Office of the Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office, studies are being carried out to identify the persons wanted by the “director of the (civil) organization” since public telephones or landlines for internal communication.
In this context, as a result of the diagnoses and technical analyzes carried out with the statements of the confessors, arrest warrants were issued for 53 suspects, among active, retired, expelled and resigned soldiers.
Following the instructions of the prosecutor’s office, teams from the Istanbul Police Department’s Smuggling Crimes Department launched a simultaneous operation in 21 Istanbul-based provinces to capture the suspects.
As part of the ongoing operation, it was reported that some of the suspects were captured and searches of the addresses continued.
