Alexander Sörloth is going through a crisis before Beşiktaş’s game at Trabzonspor. When the Norwegian player did not return to Trabzon on Friday despite his promise, legal action was launched against him. Behind the scenes is club RB Leipzig trying to persuade Crystal Palace by ruling out Trabzonspor to make this transfer. Here is that process:
After Sörloth’s great performance, 33 goals + 11 assists, Firtina rented for 2 years with an option to buy at Palace last season, transfer offers began to arrive.
The most serious demand came from Leipzig.
The German club, which had a meeting with Sörloth and convinced him to come without the approval of Trabzonspor, offered € 17 million + € 3 million (bonus), half of which would go to the Crystal Palace club.
Management replied: “We will not accept the offer without entering a net figure of 15 million euros in our safe.”
Leipzig told the Palace this time: “Let’s get the player from you and make the payment only to you.”
The English club replied: “Sörloth is now Trabzonspor and they have the right to speak.”
Leipzig then increased its offer to € 20 million + € 4 million bonus (half for the Palace club).
Trabzonspor insisted on 15 million euros.
The German team, unable to convince Trabzonspor, were distracted by Sörloth. “Don’t go to Trabzon, help us transfer,” he said.
Sörloth, who previously told the club that he wanted to go to Germany, did not return.
4 YEARS SIGNATURE!
Even the figure Sörloth, who shakes hands with RB Leipzig, is said to be true. It has been claimed that the Norwegian player will sign a 4-year contract with the German national team if the clubs agree and will earn € 3.3 million annually when taxes are deducted. Trying to convince Trabzonspor, it was said that Leipzig would put a very high release clause in the player’s contract.
FATHER: I DON’T KNOW
Sörloth’s father, Goran Sörloth, said he had no knowledge of his son’s transfer. Speaking to Norwegian TV2, Goran Sörloth said: “We haven’t talked to my son about this yet. I don’t know if Sörloth will be transferred to RB Leipzig. I can’t say anything until I see the official documents.”
DISCIPLINARY PROCESS INITIATED
Trabzonspor made a notarial decision on Sörloth and initiated a disciplinary process. Claiming that the Norwegian striker who did not return without authorization had received an official offer from RB Leipzig, the burgundy blue club said: “While the process is underway for an agreement that requires early termination of the rental agreement and all parties will be Okay, Sörloth went to Norway to join the national team camp. Our player, who should have been in Trabzon, informed us that he had a COVID-19 test in Oslo, that the PCR test would conclude on Thursday, and that he would be in Trabzon on Friday, September 11. As of today, a notary has been identified for our soccer player who has not yet arrived in Trabzon and the relevant articles have come into force, ”he explained.
