At the Cabinet Meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, new decisions were made on the fight against the corona virus.
The circular of the Ministry of the Interior containing the decisions taken on the recommendation of the Scientific Committee of Coronavirus of the Ministry of Health was sent to 81 provincial governors.
Consequently, citizens are obliged to wear masks without exception in all spaces (public areas, avenues, streets, parks, gardens, picnic areas, beaches, public transport vehicles, workplaces, factories, etc.), except residences.
All kinds of music streaming in restaurants, cafes and entertainment venues was also prohibited after 24:00. It is reported that police agencies and local governments will take all necessary measures in this regard, under the coordination of local governors. The ban on streaming music also includes hotels.
Other decisions taken are the following:
– Standing passengers will not be allowed in urban public transport vehicles where physical distance rules cannot be applied in terms of interior volume, such as minibuses / midibuses and buses without dilution and elevation in seating capacity. Apart from these, in public transport vehicles such as vehicles of the railway system (metro, tram, etc.), metrobuses and buses with diluted / high seating capacity; The number / fare of standing passengers will be determined by the provincial / district public sanitation boards in a way that is not contrary to the physical distance rules. – Places where citizens are / can meet collectively (markets, beaches, etc.) and cafes, restaurants, etc. in restaurants and entertainment venues; The governors and district governors will take the necessary measures to increase the effectiveness of the inspections on the measures taken to combat the coronavirus epidemic specified in the Work Guide and Epidemic Management of the Ministry of Health and the corresponding Circulars of the Ministry of the Interior and to meet certain standards.
– The district governors / governors will show the necessary sensitivity in the collection of administrative fines imposed on real and legal persons (companies, etc.) that fail to comply with the measures taken in the field of the fight against the coronavirus.
– The necessary decisions by the district governor / governors within the framework of the aforementioned principles will be taken urgently in accordance with articles 27 and 72 of the General Hygiene Law. There will be no interruptions in practice and no complaints will be generated. The necessary judicial procedures will be initiated within the scope of article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code regarding the establishment of an administrative action in accordance with the relevant articles of the General Hygiene Law and the criminal conduct of those who do not comply with the decisions taken.
