Three people who were arrested for being the perpetrators of the attack on Atay were detained by the Criminal Court of Peace, where they were released.

The suspects Ö.C., Ç.Ç., Ç.B. Gave statements at the Anatolian Prosecutor General’s Office in Istanbul, which was conducting the investigation. It became known that the suspects said that Barış Atay and his friend walked in front of them, wanted a path, argued about not giving in, and that the incident happened that way.
When examining the camera recordings of the attack, the police identified 4 people, 3 of whom were arrested. It was learned that the police continued their search for the fourth person they identified.
