Despite this, we believe that the banner hung in the Istanbul Bar after the death of a lawyer who was on hunger strike with the sparks had a meaning beyond piercing the bones of our martyr.
It is not acceptable for lawyers to support terrorists so recklessly, attend their funerals in their robes and post eulogies.
Advocacy means standing up for justice, not cruelty. These transactions are clearly not closely related to the attorney-client relationship.
In my opinion, in my opinion, it should be discussed whether such a method is necessary for lawyers, just as people who are so closely related to terrorist organizations in other institutions can be excluded from their profession.
If the lawyer defending the drug magnate does not try to act like a drug dealer, the lawyer defending the murderer does not try to steal, and the lawyer defending the thief does not try to steal, it is not possible for the terrorist lawyer to become a terrorist.
A lawyer who performs a public function must not do what the judge, the prosecutor, the police or the soldier cannot do. If it does, it must have a consequence, a cost.
Such a distorted situation cannot be allowed in any country in the world. No element of the judiciary can be subordinate to any ideology. The only ideology of the judiciary should be justice.
One of our goals in introducing the multi-bar system was the hope of saving our bar associations from the troublesome structure.
In the next period, we will do whatever is necessary to block this bloody path from lawyer to terrorism.
