According to the complaints, Orhan Aktaş arrived at the home of Sevim Sökmensuer (37), who lived with his sister. Aktaş and Sökmensuer argued verbally for a while at home. Following the growth of the verbal argument, Orhan Aktaş stabbed Sökmensuer with the knife he bought in the kitchen. Aktaş was also injured in the fight.
With the report of their neighbors, many police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that Sökmensuer died in the control carried out by the health teams. Orhan Aktaş, injured, was taken by ambulance to Bakırköy Sadi Konuk Education and Research Hospital after the first intervention at the scene. It was learned that Aktaş’s treatment continued in the hospital.
Police teams took a strip out onto the street and examined the house where the incident occurred. After investigations, Sevim Sökmensuer’s funeral was first taken to the morgue of the Istanbul Institute of Forensic Medicine. After his operations here, he was taken to his hometown, Afyon, to be buried.

Güner Karaoğlu, a neighbor of Sevim Sökmensuer, who passed away, said: “We were at home that day. We hear voices from outside. When we left the house, we learned that the murder had been committed, but then we learned of the consequences. Two women previously lived in this house. Then 6 months ago a man approached them. We later found out that they stabbed each other. We heard that the lady was dead. That stabbed also got away. The taxi rank is stacked there. They took him to the hospital. We know that you are currently in intensive care. The lady also died. These murders must be avoided. Every day we hear about femicides everywhere. We don’t want to hear from you anymore. We don’t hear that moment, but we witness it later. At that time it was not heard at all. We also talk to other neighbors. Not a single sound was heard. They probably stabbed each other during the fight. One of them died and the other was injured, ”he said.
