Ghebreyesus shared the information: “A study published today by the WHO and carried out in 105 countries shows that 90 percent of countries have interruptions in health services. Low and middle income countries are the most affected.”

Noting that the study revealed that there was a 70 percent disruption in health services such as routine vaccination, cancer diagnosis and treatment, mental health, diagnosis and treatment of noncommunicable diseases, Ghebreyesus noted that WHO will continue to work with the countries for the continuation of basic health services.
