Yesterday a ceremony was held at the Erzurum Airport Command for Infantry Expert Sergeant Ceyhun Arslantürk, who was seriously injured after the clash with members of the terrorist organization in Ağrı Doğubayazıt and was martyred at the hospital where he was transferred. The martyr Arslantürk, who was taken to his hometown on a military plane, was received by the protocol, military officers and his family at Ordu-Giresun airport.
One of the four children of the Gülsüm and Cumhur couple, the 23-year-old martyr Ceyhun Arslantürk, who had siblings named Tuana, Kuzey and Ceyda, was brought to the father’s home in Kacalı district in the morning and the halality. The martyr’s coffin, draped in the Turkish flag, was later brought to the Old Mosque on Cumhuriyet Square in the Persembe district. As his relatives embraced the martyr’s coffin for the last time and shed tears, infantry expert Sergeant Ceyhun Arslantürk was fired on his last trip after the funeral prayer. At the ceremony, the saying of mother Gülsüm Arslantürk: “I promised my son that I would not cry, my heroic son, she called me before he was martyred, I promised her that I would not cry,” caught his heart. Meanwhile, it should be noted that a child who was in the arms of the martyr’s father, Cumhur Arslantürk, dismissed the martyr with a military salute.
