As humanity approaches the dream of traveling with cars flying through the sky, the company called “Japanese SkyDrive” has become one of the executives of “flying cars” projects in the world.

During the test drive open to the press on Friday, the single-driver flying car with propellers took off about 2 meters off the ground and hovered in the air for 4 minutes. The flying car named SD-03 was said to be powered by electricity.

Tomohiro Fukuzawa, who heads the SkyDrive initiative, the owner of the flying car project, told reporters that he expects the “flying car” to become an everyday product by 2023.

“Of the more than 100 flying car projects in the world, only a handful of them have been successful flying with the driver,” Fukuzawa said. Fukuzawa claimed that the vehicle can stay in the air for 5 to 10 minutes, but if it is developed to stay in the air for half an hour, it has the potential to be shipped to other countries such as China.
