Ziya Selçuk, Minister of National Education, provided information on education during the epidemic period.
Highlights from Minister Selçuk’s speech:

We have made an effort to fill in the deficiency of our first graders by creating the I Read and Write program. New programs of the preparatory period of the EBA channels on students have been launched. New programs of the preparatory period of the EBA channels on students have been launched.
Students will receive a workbook other than the textbook.
Approximately 1.5 million children have access to EBA. So what are we doing? We are building support teams quickly. We are preparing a mobile EBA support point. Our 5,200 points of support are ready. We install these points in areas where children with access difficulties are found.
We have prepared 17 books for children who cannot access EBA. If face-to-face is not possible, we will give the right to distance education.
IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS?
I hope that our private schools will take our parents’ requests into consideration. There is consensus for each school to do so.
WILL THE SCHOOLS OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 21?
This is not a decision to be made by the Ministry of Education alone. We need to cooperate. As a ministry, of course, we want face-to-face training and we have established the entire infrastructure. We will act on the board’s recommendation on the course of the epidemic. Even if our Ministry of Health says so, it is okay to open all schools. Of course we open. We will begin face-to-face training in certain classes on September 21.
