According to the statement made by the Presidency of Communications, the fight focused on the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) and the steps to be taken in the post-epidemic period, as well as on regional issues, particularly Syria and Libya.

According to a written statement by NATO Secretary General Kovid-19 to combat the context of allies of NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center (EADRCC) in Turkey and praised the support provided to partners.

Noting that Allied solidarity is more important in difficult times, Stoltenberg said NATO will continue to take the necessary steps for joint defense.

Underlining that NATO maintains its consistent approach towards Libya, Stoltenberg emphasized NATO’s defense at the request of the Libyan Prime Minister (Fayiz es-Serrac), as stated by NATO Heads of State and Government at the Brussels Summit 2018 .and stressed that he is ready to help the country in the construction of security institutions.

Stoltenberg stated that NATO assistance to Libya will be carried out taking into account the political situation and security conditions in the country, and this will be carried out in close coordination with the United Nations (UN) and the European Union.

Reiterating the call for all parties to comply with the UN arms embargo on Libya, Stoltenberg noted that NATO continues to fully support the political settlement initiatives carried out at the UN.
