The neighborhood, where 600 people live, was then quarantined by the Afşin District Board of Hygiene on May 8.

According to the DHA report, while the Hüyük village district was closed to entrances by the gendarmerie teams, the team from the Afşin District Health Directorate met with the 5 people who were being treated at the hospital and screening activities began by going to the neighborhood to obtain information on who participated and who contacted the engagement.

After the evaluation, the number of positives in the neighborhood increased to 17. The radiation team further intensified its work and visited the people with whom the tests were positive, one by one, and made a sample for the test. After testing, the number of positive cases in the neighborhood increased to 30. It was observed that while 30 people were being treated at the hospital, the radiation team continued to work without interruption.
As a result of screening studies by radiation teams, the number of cases has increased to 81 as of today. The Afşin Hygiene Board quarantined 8 houses in the Afşinbey district, in the center of the district where the participants of the engagement live.
On the other hand, it was stated that the detection work of the radiation equipment in the quarantined houses of the village of Hüyük and the center of the district continue.
