The funeral of Grup Yorum member İbrahim Gökçek, who lost his life in the hospital where he was removed after a break from his action on day 323 of his quick death, was sent to Kayseri after the tension in the Gazi district of Istanbul and was transferred to the Asri cemetery morgue.

A group of nearly 500 idealists who learned that Gökçek’s funeral would be buried in the Talas district of Başakpınar district, blocked the way to traffic. Police teams called for the dissolution of the slogan “Down with the PKK and we don’t want terrorists in our neighborhood.” MHP Kayseri MP Baki Ersoy also went to the area to calm the crowd. Upon receiving a promise that İbrahim Gökçek’s burial would not be buried in their neighborhoods, the group later disbanded.
THE CEMETERY HAS BEEN CHANGED IN REACTIONS
The cemetery site, where Gökçek’s funeral will be buried, was changed by the reactions. Gökçek’s body, which was taken by relatives in the Asri cemetery morgue in the morning, was taken to the Halef Hodja cemetery in the Talas district, accompanied by the police procession.
Gökçek’s funeral was buried after the funeral prayer. Sultan Gökçek, who is Gökçek’s wife and also a member of Grup Yorum, and her relatives attended the funeral.
