Minister Karaismailoğlu, taking information from the authorities in the area where the dent occurred, and then entering the T26 tunnel with a length of 6,800 meters, Karaismailoğlu, who made explanations to members of the press, said: “We are in the tunnel we call T26 between Bozüyük Bilecik. As our Ministry, we take all our precautions in accordance with the recommendation of the Minister of Health and renew our sites accordingly. In this way, all of our work continues at more than a thousand construction sites across the country. The T26 tunnel we are in is 6,800 meters long and we continue our work at a distance of 8,100 meters, including open and closed structures and entrance and exit structures. ”
“When the T26 tunnel ends, there will be a 14-minute shortening on the YHT Ankara-Istanbul line”
Minister Karaismailoğlu explained that when the T26 tunnel ends, there will be a 14-minute shortening on the Ankara – Istanbul YHT line: “Our work continues at full speed between Ankara and Istanbul. After this Covid-19 epidemic, all of our workers, our employees, our workers, continue to work with devotion.
“We will have put our 400km high-speed rail line into operation again this year”
Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they experienced a major revolution in the railways under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: “Last week we completely renewed our 400 km line between Samsun and Sivas. We completely removed the rails from a line built in 1930, signaled it electrically, and put it into operation. Again, there is a very feverish job between Ankara and Sivas. I hope we have put our 400km high-speed rail line back into operation this year. Currently, a 200 kilometer YHT line continues. Our goal is to finish the 5,500 kilometer stage in 2023. This way we will have a 17,500 kilometer railway line. When rail lines are finished and put into operation, it reduces traffic congestion to other transport lines around it, and in addition to this, provides great savings in energy and fuel. “
“Increase rail share to 4 percent and freight transport to 10 percent by 2023”
The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoğlu, finally explained that the YHT line has caused great changes in the economic and social sense in the provinces where the YHT line passes: “We have completed very large projects in the world like Marmaray under the leadership of our Presidency. Our entire goal is to increase rail’s share to 4 percent and freight to 10 percent in passenger transportation by 2023. Our work continues in this direction. “
