The Örmetaş neighborhood, which has 90 households and 900 inhabitants of the Başkale district, was quarantined on April 7, by decision of the District Hygiene Committee, after a coronavirus was seen on a person from Istanbul. As the quarantine process continues, healthcare teams launched a large-scale assessment in the neighborhood.
However, it was determined that there were other citizens coming from Istanbul to the neighborhood, and Mukhtar Mikail Duman about these citizens did not inform the authorities to remove the quarantine. Action was taken on this information.
With the work done, those who came from Istanbul were identified by health teams and security forces. As a result of the tests, the number of cases of coronavirus, which was 22 previously, increased to 44 with the latest studies. Thereafter, the Ministry of Health has determined that the neighborhood is a private work area.
