The AMD B550 and A520 chipsets that users have been waiting for some time are claimed to go on sale on May 21.
AMD is slowing down the B550 series of motherboards with Ryzen 3000 series desktop processors while gaining significant momentum. As you know, the new processors provided backward compatibility with older motherboards with microcode updates. The X570 motherboards, which were released, exceeded most price budgets. We have mentioned that the A520 and B550 chipsets will start mass production earlier this year. Later, a B550 motherboard with PCIe 4.0 support appeared. Additionally, we saw that the 4000 series APU processors were tested on a B550 motherboard.
The B550 series motherboards, which users are eagerly awaiting, will be introduced on May 21, considering the information from secret sources. As you know, the products do not go on sale immediately after the announcement. It is said to go on sale on June 16 after about a month.
The B550 motherboards with AM4 socket will be ready for the next generation of Ryzen 4000 APUs and Ryzen 4000 desktop processors. The B550 and A520 chipsets will be a good choice for low and medium budget PC collectors. They’ll also be a good pair with existing 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs.
The expected Ryzen 4000 series CPUs for this year are expected to be announced in September. We have shared with you that these CPUs that will come with the AM4 socket structure will be compatible with at least the old B450 chipsets.
