Within the scope of the fight against the coronavirus, the Scientific Committee on Coronavirus (coronavirus) of the Ministry of Health met once again at 2:00 pm with the video conference method.

* In patients with sub-disease and Covid-19 carriers, 4 percent of our patients started treatment early. Another concrete consequence of starting treatment early is the change in the speed of the disease that turns into pneumonia.
* Unlike in other countries, as a result of early initiation of treatment according to the opinions of our scientific committee, the rate of becoming pneumonia in our patients has decreased significantly. This is reflected in our intensive care and intubation numbers.
* We restrict the departure of our citizens over 65, and then we make a decision with less than 20 years. In line with these decisions, a positive case decreased. Before this ban, we had 30 patients over the age of 65, now it’s down to 18 percent.
* The increase in the number of cases continues with Filyonyon and the increase in the number of tests, but we see that there is a decrease in the rate of increase. There is also a decrease in our daily hospitalization.
CASE last 24 hours and may be LOST IN TURKEY
* As of this hour, with the result of 40,270 tests, 558,413 were performed. Our 542 patients recovered, 8,631 citizens recovered in total. Our rate of increase of cases is decreasing. Our number of intensive care and intubated patients is decreasing.
* 126 of our citizens have lost their lives.
* The total number of citizens who died was 769 thousand.
* 4 thousand 353 new cases were detected, the number of cases increased to 78 thousand 546.

ANSWER TO JOURNALISTS ‘QUESTIONS
Minister Koca answered journalists’ questions after his statements.
Koca stated that the curfew will be declared on April 23 and said: “We always talk about the importance of contact, distance and isolation in the fight against the epidemic. We can say that the ban, which started last weekend and was decided for this weekend, serves this purpose. Consequently, the decision on the coming weeks did not reach the scientific committee’s agenda, but may come in the coming weeks. The scientific board does not make decisions, it is a board that makes recommendations. He didn’t come up with the agenda around April 23, it may be the agenda for the week. “
The husband gave the following answer to the question about the treatment and testing process of the patients:
* From the beginning, we try to bring the process to the health dimension with the suggestions and approaches of our scientific council. So let’s remember that the algorithm for who should be tested, which patient will be viewed as a suspect, which patient has Covid-19 and how to treat has changed.
* Continuous update, perhaps in this sense that we are very different in the world, all the doctors of our friends in Turkey, our hospitals, including everyone to start when the test and what kind of treatment a patient, in this sense, when intensive care and when it should be intubated standardized with science by the committee.

* Most of the cases that are intensive care and intubated in the initial period are our citizens who submitted applications to health institutions late. We say that these patients should start treatment immediately after being viewed as suspicious.
* Our current image shows that our growth rate of patients has decreased, the mortality rate has entered a stable period and the occupancy rate of our health institutions has stabilized in this period. This image is nice for us, at this point, there are applications that we do differently from the world.
* The world still says that their approach to connecting patients to the initial device, we say is not true. All this also shows that we are in a different way in the treatment.
* We also spoke in the scientific committee, and in the meeting we spoke about the need to make a quick effort and an effort to publish these differences. We want to quickly transfer this difference to the world of science.

We have seen in the case of Turkey afterwards, we saw to report on the disease that is different from our world. We now know how it differs in treatment and how the disease progresses. I can say very clearly that it is slightly different from the disease that we know in China and that we have developed our own algorithm.

Since we know the disease, early application is important for the disease, so our citizen must submit an application to start their medication and treatment. When we are late, we see this situation in both the sick and the elderly.
In contrast, our patient who has an illness but started early treatment is also recovering. When treatment begins, we see that we get results without realizing the young and old. We know this disease, let’s be a little more patient in this process of contact, distance and isolation.
We have no problem in the treatment. We see that our health institutions do not exceed a certain capacity, our occupancy rate does not exceed 60 percent, and the occupancy rate in intensive care beds does not exceed 50 percent. But our citizens should not give up on the measures, we want them to pass the isolation process at home.
MASK DISTRIBUTION
“Citizens say they cannot get a mask because they do not receive a text message and cannot find a mask to go to the market,” says one journalist. The citizen is demanding that the state determine the price of the masks. Can mask sales start again? Koca answered the question:
* On the subject of the mask, you know that the mask was instructed by our president in this period, and we want you to give it to him for free.
