Manisa soldier martyred in northern Iraq

Manisa Governor Ahmet Deniz reported that an expert sergeant registered in the town of Soma was martyred in the terrorist attack in northern Iraq.

Governor Deniz stated in his message of condolence that while the Hakkari Mountain Command was on duty at the Terrorism Command Operation Task Force Command, Marine Corps Expert Sgt. Muhammet Fatih Durhan, who was martyred in northern Iraq as a result of the terrorist attack.

Deniz noted:

“I learned with regret that Sgt. Naval Infantry Specialist Muhammet Fatih Durhan, who is registered in the town of Manisa Soma, is martyred.

Meanwhile, news of the martyrdom reached the Durhan family in Manisa.

Soma District Governor Fatih Akkaya, Mayor Ali Tulup, Commander of the District Gendarmerie, Major Oruç Fevzi Kara, District Police Chief Barış Er, Official Department Officials, Martyr, Sgt. An infantry expert, they went to the father’s house in the martyr’s Atatürk neighborhood, on Sezer Street, and gave the family the painful news.

Martyr’s father, Halil, and his mother, Hatice Durhan, and their relatives, neighbors, and protocol members were comforted. Turkish flags were hung on the home and street of the martyr’s father.

Halil Durhan, who is the imam of the Martyr Mosque in the hidehidin district, accepted his condolences in front of his house after receiving the news of his son’s martyrdom.

Durhan said: “We have told you what martyrdom in the mosque means. But this has happened to us. May Allah give us patience. Thank you.” He said.

It was learned that Durhan, who was in command of the Naval Amphibious Infantry Brigade Command in the Foça district of Izmir, joined the Mission Group Command of the Terrorist Command Operation Hakkari Mountain with temporary duty.
