Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was charged with an email threatening Görgünoğlu, who threatened him with an email saying: “I will make you drink your blood! In the investigation, CHP Ankara provincial president Ali Hikmet Smart made a statement about the allegations that Görgünoğlu is a member of the CHP and a candidate for the CHP parliament.
The following statements were used in Smart’s description:
“Today, in some press bodies, it was discovered that our Ekster, Ekrem İmamaoğlu, the mayor of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, was a member of the city of Etimesgut, the person named Tuna Görgünoğlu, who threatened by mail.
In examining our records; it was understood that the aforementioned person applied to become a candidate for parliamentary candidate and that the registration was made at this time since he was not a member of the Party. However, the person named above was not recognized by our Etimesgut District Organization and it was determined that he did not participate in any party work after his application for candidacy. It is understood that the information given about your education and working life is not correct.
When obtaining the news and information, our Provincial Board of Directors, during the extraordinary meeting held by videoconference, is cautious, precisely in accordance with 64 and 68/1-b of our Görgünoğlu Tuna Regulation, 15/1-by 27 / 1 of our Disciplinary Regulations. It was decided to be transferred to the provincial discipline committee with the request for expulsion. ”
