The incident occurred in the afternoon near the village of Doluca in Kahta. There was a debate between members of the Gözel and Breast families, who declared themselves hostile. The discussion that grew with the participation of other relatives of the families, suddenly turned into a fight in which weapons and rifles were used. 10 people were shot with firearms in the fight. A large number of gendarmes and medical teams were sent to the region after the warning of the armed struggle.
3 PEOPLE AT THE SITE OF THE EVENT, 3 PEOPLE DIED IN THE HOSPITAL
Although the fight ended with the intervention of the gendarmerie, it was determined that Mehmet Gözel (61), Mustafa Gözel (43) and Mehmet Chest (29) died in the control carried out by the medical teams. 7 injured were taken to Kahta State Hospital by ambulances after their first response. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, 3 more wounded who were treated in the emergency room could not be saved.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the morgue for autopsy after the examinations.
GOVERNOR: 6 PEOPLE DEAD, 4 PEOPLE WERE INJURED
The Governor of Adyaman, Mahmut Çuhadar, also learned of the fight and went to the village. Governor Mahmut Çuhadar, who carried out an investigation at the site, received information from the security forces. After his examination here, Governor Çuhadar went to the Kahta State Hospital and received information on the health status of the injured. In making a statement after the hospital, Governor Çuhadar said: “We have 6 dead and 4 injured. We wish our condolences to both families. Our injured were treated at Kahta State Hospital and Adıyaman Research and Training Hospital.”
The security forces took intensive security measures in the town and in the hospitals where the wounded were treated, so that the incidents did not continue to grow.
