The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, announced that the results of the higher education scholarship of the 2020-2021 academic year and the results of the loan application have been announced. Students applying for a scholarship / loan will be able to find out the results on the official website of the Directorate General for Loans and Dormitories (result.gsb.gov.tr).
HOW MUCH SCHOLARSHIPS AND CREDITS?
Valid amounts in 2020 are 550 lire per month for undergraduate students, 1100 lire for graduate students, and 1650 lire for doctoral students. The amounts that will be valid for 2021 will be determined in January.
The information on the economic, social and success status of the students declared during the application is confirmed by 12 institutions and public organizations. As a result of the evaluation, scholarships or educational loans are awarded to students whose situation complies with the legislation.
WHEN IS THE LAST DAY?
Students who qualify for a scholarship / loan must read and approve their pledge through e-Government by 11:59 PM on December 11, 2020 at the latest. (Letter of engagement approval cannot be done through the e-Devlet mobile app).
STUDENTS UNDER 18 YEARS OLD
Students aged 15-18 who have received scholarships / loans (with their parents ‘e-government passwords) will be able to confirm their own e-government passwords after completing their parents’ approval for the scholarship / loan.
Students under 15 years of age or who do not have parents may approve their commitments by going to the nearest Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports together with their legal guardian with their documents (identity, decision of the guardian, etc.).
HOW WILL THE PAYMENTS BE?
Students who approve their commitment will be paid beginning in October 2020.
The last day for students studying abroad to approve their commitment through e-Government and prepare the guarantee is January 15, 2021 (approval of the commitment letter cannot be done through the mobile application and -Devlet).
Students who continue their higher education abroad and have received scholarships / loans must obtain an “e-government password” from the PTTs in the country and from the consulates or embassies abroad. Next, the confirmation from the e-government company AmAlArInI and the notary public should be prepared with the name of kefalet that the people in Turkey will vouch for them.
The bond issued on behalf of the student, issued and certified, must be delivered to the Credit Department at Söğütözü Mahallesi 2176. Cadde No: 25 Çankaya / Ankara by hand or by mail, attached to a request before January 30, 2021 at the latest .
