Two people who were arrested as responsible for the forest fire that started in Hatay on October 9 were arrested and could be taken under control two days later as a result of interventions supported by air and ground teams as well as citizens.
The forest fire that started in the Sarımazı neighborhood of the Bethlehem district at 10.30 am on Friday, October 9, spread to the residences of the İskenderun and Arsuz districts with the effect of strong winds.
The fire, which was intervened by air and ground for 2 days and supported by the citizens of the forest and firefighters, was controlled on Saturday night.

The interrogation of the 2 suspects arrested with the fire was completed. The 2 suspects, who were referred to court, were arrested and imprisoned.
