Trump’s legal team avoided an affiliation with lawyer Sidney Powell

The Trump campaign is avoiding its association with attorney Sidney Powell when Trump campaigned after a press conference Thursday when he claimed without evidence that the deceased Hugo Chavez, among others, was responsible for the election frenzy. The campaign claimed she was not a member of the Trump legal team, although President and Trump Attorney Rudy Giuliani had previously identified her as part of the team.

In the days following the press conference, Powell made additional false claims on money-laundering networks and was also questioned by Fox News’ Tucker Carlson about his claims, after which he refused to present his evidence on the show.

“Sydney Powell is practicing law herself. She is not a member of the Trump legal team. She is not even a lawyer for the president in her personal capacity,” Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser to the Trump campaign, said in a statement.

During Thursday’s press conference, Giuliani identified Powell as a member of Mr. Trump’s defense team, and the president himself identified Powell as his co-worker in a Nov. 14 tweet.

“I look forward to Mayor Giuliani’s legitimate efforts to defend our right to a free and fair election! Added.! ” Mr. Trump tweeted at the time.

Powell told CBS News:

“I understand today’s press release,” she said. “I would like to introduce the #people who have had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen through massive fraud by Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will file a lawsuit soon. Great Republic. # Kraken on steroids “

On Thursday, Ellis called a press conference team, including Powell, “the elite, the strike team.” Powell, Giuliani and Alice claim they are holding their biggest piece of evidence for the court, where they Legal cases continue to be lost.

Powell was a lawyer for the president’s former national security adviser, General Michelle Flynn, who was fired for lying to Vice President Mike Pence about his Russian contacts and was found guilty of lying to the FBI about the same.
