Despite widespread malpractice or lack of evidence of fraud, President Donald Trump’s legal team used Thursday’s press conference to get through the far-flung, laundry list of claims about the 2020 election.
Trump attorney Sidney Powell cut the fictional stories of the electoral system to create a U.S. suffrage created in Venezuela. German servers storing voting information and election software, “under the direction of Hugo Chavez” – Venezuela’s late president, who died in 2013. He also said that Trump defeated Democrat Biden “by landslide”, which he did not do for sure – Biden was the clear winner.
A look at the claims and reality:
Powell: “Dominion voting systems, smart technology, software, and software that goes into other computerized voting systems here, not just Dominion, were created in Venezuela under the direction of Hugo Chavez to make sure it never happens in the next election. . A constitutional referendum came out the way he did not want it to come out. “
Facts: No, Dominion has nothing to do with Venezuela, or has no partnership with Smartmatic, Nonpartisan election technology research and development nonprofit, according to Odyssey Institute voting technology expert Eddie Perez.
Smartmatic is an international company incorporated in Florida by Venezuelan founders. The company states on its website that it is not affiliated with any of the country’s governments or political parties.

Powell: “One of the most characteristic features of (software software) is the ability to flip votes. It could set up and run an algorithm that probably ran across the country to get a percentage vote from President Trump and flip to President Biden. “
Facts: It didn’t happen. There is no evidence that any of Dominion’s systems have turned votes to count Trump as a vote for Biden. A statement released by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a federal agency overseeing U.S. election security, said there was no truth in claims that votes cast for Trump were counted or deleted by Biden.

On reports that the U.S. polling server was in Germany, Powell said: “It’s true, it’s somehow related to this but I don’t know if the good guys got it or the bad guys got it.”
Facts: No, that’s not true. Powell is referring to a fictional story that Nov. 3. U.S. The server that hosted the evidence of voting irregularities in the election was in Germany.
Republican Rep. Of Texas. Louis Gohmert claimed last week that “U.S. Army forces” had seized the server from the Frankfurt office fee. An Army spokesman described the allegations that the Army had misrepresented servers in Germany.
The two polling software companies that formed the conspiracy, theorists said they were connected to German servers – Sistel and Dominion – have both issued statements denying the allegations.

Powell: “President Trump won by landslide.”
Facts: That’s wrong. After being declared the winner in Georgia by the Associated Press on Thursday, Biden has a 606 to 232 Elect Oral Ralph College lead. This was Trump’s term in 2016. At the time, Trump described it as a “landslide.” Biden is also ahead of the popular vote by about 6 million votes.
