President Trump told Steve Hilton on Fox News on Sunday that he would be open to bringing the US economy completely apart from China, before warning: “If Biden is elected, China will own our country.”
“I do not want to set the world on fire right now,” Trump said during an exclusive interview on “The Next Revolution.”

But “there has not been a country that ripped us more than China …,” he continued. “We lose billions, hundreds of billions of dollars. We get nothing from China. Yes, we get some goods that we can produce ourselves ….[but] we get nothing. All we do is lose money. “
Trump signed a landmark trade treaty with China in January, demanding tensions between the world’s two largest economies amid a trade war over allegations that China has been manipulating its currency and stealing American trade secrets for decades.
However, since the global outbreak of coronavirus, Trump has told Hilton that the deal “is the same for me for a long time” and raised the opportunity to completely sever ties with the communist country.
“If they did not treat us well, I would certainly do so,” he said.
Trump demonstrated the US-China relationship prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, telling Hilton “We did better than we ever did with China and I was all set for rock ‘n’ roll,” he said. “Then we are faced with this damn situation.”
Trump contrasted his tough stance on China with his 2020 opponent Joe Biden, warning “if elected, China will own our country.”
“If you look at what we have done with China, no one has ever done to China,” he said.

Educated on warnings by U.S. intelligence officials of Beijing’s plan to interfere in Biden’s upcoming elections, Trump said “She owns him and she wants me to lose so badly.”
