“I’m looking forward to an animated reboot of my show on MTV in 25 years,” Tosh, 45, said in a statement Thursday.

The cancellation comes about eight months after officials with Comedy Central said the show had been renewed for another four seasons.
That arrangement would have discussed 80 additional broadcasts and an unwritten series for Tosh.
Tosh’s camp and ViacomCBS are working together to move the show to a separate outlet, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
ViacomCBS Entertainment & Youth Group President Chris McCarthy focuses on Comedy Central on TV movies, adult entertainment programs and shows dealing with current events, THR sources said.

Shows that have resumed this afternoon from McCarthy’s office include Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butt-head, as well as Jodie, a spinoff of the 90s MTV show Daria.
The show’s reviews have been consistent, claiming to be the top original comedy in the male 18-34 demographic on Tuesdays since it aired in 2009. It was mostly renewed in 2018 for three years, and gave it more than 250 general episodes, featuring Comedy Central live performances finally running on a weekly basis.
The last 10 episodes of Tosh.0 begin airing September 15 on Comedy Central, with their latest episode airing November 24.
