So we recently contacted the community on Facebook, asking for a list of the best and worst celebrity appearances from the classic Top Gear interview segment. Some of these celebrities were better on the track, others were charismatic, but they are all particularly notable!
Ah, Rowan Atkinson. Something about this man bothers me deeply. It could very well be your very discreet ability to drive down a track.
In fact, not only can Atkinson play a soft secret agent and a talking fanatic, but he was also the fastest celebrity (spoiler alert!) In the car at a reasonable price. Without a doubt, Atkinson is a funny and charming man with a talented driving history … just don’t leave me alone with him in a locked room, please.
As an American, I often can’t tell what is going on with Boris Johnson and his presence in the UK spotlight. Back in the day, he sat down with Clarkson before going for a spin. To my surprise, he received a warm welcome, perhaps for his young hair?
Jeremy tries to discuss discrimination with Boris, specifically regarding bicycles and people with one arm. Johnson, you feel the trap is coming … but the result may surprise you. Looking closely, you can see the exact moment Clarkson decided to start a farm and buy a tractor.
Two congratulations to Patrick Stewart. This man names names, goes further with the history of his car, and even details some grim Hollywood pranks.
Whether he’s captaining a reasonably priced car or a galaxy-class spacecraft, Stewart knows what’s going on. The down-to-earth knight has been winning hearts since his days of fondling on the back of that SS Jaguar.
Whose idea was it that the Black Eyed Peas guy was driving down the track?
This was a pain segment, wearing fingerless gloves, talking about “devices with touch screen technology” and an overtly bad lap. The BBC didn’t even bother putting the time on the recap clip. Not to mention that Will.i.am did not drive manually.
Say what you want about Tom Cruise, but the man has clearly learned something by doing his own stunts.
Now that we’ve got him out of the way, check out Cameron Diaz! She shakes her legs and gets delicate in the interview, it’s crazy. These two not only appear as unreal superhumans, but also rank first on the charts twice in a single session.
You should have done your research. Will Smith continued to praise Argentina … as an amateur.
The guy has been kind of like a meme lately for another infamous interview. We’re not going to put more on it, but this was seen as one of the most telephonic celebrity appearances. However, Margot Robbie was cold.
Anyway guys, what do you think? Do you have a more or less favorite guest in the car at a reasonable price? Did you generally skip the segment? Or maybe you are angry? Matt Leblanc wasn’t included (as if)? Leave a comment below!
