Thursday 430 new Idaho Seaweed-19 cases, 1 new death


Idaho FALS, Idaho (KIPI / KIDK) – Idaho officials reported 430 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new death on Thursday.

That brings the total confirmed and probable cases reported since March to 34,617

Idaho has a total of 31,943 confirmed cases and 2,674 potential cases in 44 of the 44 counties, according to figures released from local health districts and the state. See chart below.

Eastern Idaho Public Health reported 71 new cases Thursday. There are 48 new cases in Bonneville, 1 in Custer, 3 in Fremont, 3 in Jefferson, 1 in Lemmy, 13 in Madison and 2 in Teton. There are a total of 311 active cases. You can see more here.

The Eastern Idaho Public Health Board of Health (BOH) visited on Thursday and determined that Teton County met the metric to return to the minimum (green) risk level. You can read more here.

The EIPH COVID-19 risk level monitor has four categories: minimum, medium, high and complex. Bonneville, Custer and Jefferson counties are in the middle risk class.

Clark, Fremont, Lamy, Madison and Teton counties are in the minimum risk category.

EIPH covers Bonneville, Clark. Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lamy, Madison and Teton counties.

Hotspots this week are Ada County, Canyon County, Bonneville County, Twin Falls County and Kutenai County.

The state reports that there are an estimated 17,599 recovered COVID-19 cases.

The average age of Idahons with COVID-19 is 39.2 years and ranges from 1 to 100 years. The data did not include 61 individuals of unknown age.

The age group with the highest number of cases is 18-29 with 9,828 cases.

The state said 15 new hospital admissions have been registered bringing the total number to 1,551, and 1 new case has been admitted to the ICU bringing the total to 407.

Health care workers have 2,683 asymptomatic reports and 2,300 cases.

1 new death has been reported, taking the total reported deaths to 407.

State officials say deaths by age group are falling apart as follows.

  • Two people between the ages of 30 and 39 died
  • Eight people between the ages of 40 and 49 died
  • The 13 people who died ranged in age from 50 to 59 years
  • 48 people ranged in age from 60 to 69 years
  • 101 people ranged in age from 70 to 79
  • 235 people were 80+

95.33% of deaths of known species were white. 0.49% of deaths with the known race were Asian. 0.98% of deaths with known race were black or African American, 1.23% were American Indian / Alaska Native, and 1.23% were “other race / multiple race”. Race category for 3 deaths left.

88.15% of deaths with the known race were non-Hispanic. 11.85% of deaths of known ethnicity were Hispanic. 2 Ethnicity pending death.
